Well I have finally finished. It's not perfect but I love it. This is my first paper-piecing from Linda @paper-panache. How to add to it, I'm not sure does anyone have an idea. Very open.

I love to paint birds.

This is Brad cooking on an old wood stove. All winter we eat in the cabin that is located on our property. The cabin is over 200 years old. It used to sit up the river and was a trading post. The Indians and Pioneers would trade. Its a lot of fun. Everything just slows right down the minute you walk in.

Happy St Patrick's Day to everyone. Even though its a monday. I don't have any green to wear. I look terrible in green. I quilted most of the day yesterday. I can't wait to show everyone. It's a paper piece I bought from Linda at PaperPanache.

Had a wonderful visit with the kids this weekend. My daughter turned 19 so we all went to the Moose for her first drink. ( Ya...I know I'm just a little naive.)

Oh and this is one of Brad's hobbies. Our horse and sleigh rides in the winter. In the summer we have a doctors buggy. My husband loves the past.

I bought a new rotary cutter. A fiskars. Hope its a good one. Today I'm cleaning house, paying bills and getting groceries. So I can sew all day tomorrow. I hope it will workout.

Here is one of my paintings.

This is what I mean with paper-piecing. You can create shadows and effects by using the right colors. Just like painting. This was my first paper-piecing.

March 13/08. I started quilting when my teenagers were babies. It seemed I had so much more time then. So after 10 years I decided to get back at it. I've recently discovered paper-piecing and I love it. I also have been painting with acrylics. The two are very similar.

My 14 year old just had her appendix taken out. A memorable march break for her. My son James is home from Toronto for a few days. He's going to apprentice to become an electrician. He's 20 years old. My daughter Randee is in university to become an RN. Samantha is in Highschool and works 2 part-time jobs and my youngest Alex is your tipical 11 year old boy. Loves to play war, build forts and ride around on his minibike. He's a great kid.
