These are my UFO's. I've had them for ten years at least. I never thought of posting them on the computer. They look so different. Nicer I guess. Now that I see them I want to finish them.
Spring is here. My trees are in bloom and beautiful. What a nice time of year.

Well O.K. I decided maybe to check with the library. I looked through all my quilting magazines and they all say the same thing. I then checked out some of the library books and to add to my disappointement they had the same thing to say about applique.

So.....I then tried out the zig-zag method on my machine and it looked pretty good. ( please tell me otherwise, I want to learn) See picture

I'm always so afraid of trying some new technique, or something totally new.

When I started to paint I was so afraid. It took a friend from Indiana to buy me my first brushes and a canvas and paints for me to try it. Needless to say I fell in love with it. Even though I don't have a lot of time, I now know not to fear it.

I feel I'm so weird, but that's o.k. cause I'm not afraid of life. I'm getting to deep. Sorry Ha, Ha, ha

Maybe I was wanting an easier way.....

I've started a new project(as I hand quilt the one I just finished) And I need some advice on applique. I tried using fusible web and not turning in the edges. Now will the edges fray? and once its glued on the quilt, can I just quilt each piece once it 's all put together.?

I'm not crazy about doing the zig zag along the edges. I really could use some help. I'll send pictures of what I'm doing to help with some answers. Thank you in advance. Nat

WOW.... I finished it.

This was a fun quilt to make.

Well, I am so happy. I spent most of the day yesterday sewing. And I just found out I have today too. The spray room is not too busy right now. It's nice to have a break. My kids are going to school and the house will be quiet. Only the sounds of a sewing machine.

Do quilting guilds normally run in the summer or do they take a break? I e-mailed ours here and nobody returned my message. I may try to call instead. The buds on the trees are beginning to burst and next week I'll be cuttin grass on my sweet John Deere Lawn mower.

Here is some of the work I've done on this baby quilt. It's for my sisters baby. Which by the way is going to be a boy, and his name is Ben.

And this is a picture of my happy place. So that means I need to stop writting now, to make the most of this day off. Nat

Beautiful spring

Well... this weekend was gorgeous. It was 18Celcius and sunny. I spent three days on my John Deere, racking leave, ( that I was supose to do in the fall but too lazy) trimming plants and trees that needed it, picking up sticks and stones, it was the best weekend ever. I love being outside, so quilting is for the rainy days now. Here is my hand to prove it.

I've started on my sister's new baby quilt. I can't show a picture of it until I give it to her. Has to be a surprise. She's having a boy(#4) his name will be Ben. Very exciting.

It's my 40th Birthday today. I guess I need to change my profile. A friend of mine gave me a black hoody swirtshirt with the logo John Deere with little flowers. It's so nice. I'll put a picture of it.

Today I'm working on some chairs. A rocking chair and a kitchen chair. I stripped them and put a new finish on them. They are so nice I want to keep them for myself. You know the saying the shoe makers kids never have shoe. Well...goes for anything else. Everybody else has nice furnisher but me. I'm not complaining. I'm very happy with what we have.
